Just up the hill from the wharf is the Savary Shores area, a later subdivision featuring building lots that are wider than the usual 50 foot width of other lots on the island. Savary Shores also boasts a community water system that eliminates the need to drill a well on your property. The system is meticulously run offering affordable water at a yearly levy. In this area is a small quarter block nicknamed "Downtown Savary".
