Indian Point / The Meadows

This diverse area has many of the Savary artists with galleries open in the summer. The Meadow is open and wide in contrast to the more wooded areas of the island. It is medium high bank with an easy beach access to another wide sandy beach where skim boarding is popular along with our annual Polar Bear Swim. Between the Meadows and Indian Point is another enclave called Sunset Trail where the properties are level beach with the area having it's own mystique. Indian Point is all level sandy beach and has it's own history. The old Royal Savary Hotel was sited there because of the beautiful beaches. It was built in 1928 and closed in 1980. There is a small B & B, Hemingway Cottage available for visitors. There's private moorage around the point and a community maintained boat launch ramp.
