Savary Shores

Just up the hill from the wharf is the Savary Shores area, a later subdivision featuring building lots that are wider than the usual 50 foot width of other lots on the island. Savary Shores also boasts a community water system that eliminates the need to drill a well on your property. The system is meticulously run offering affordable water at a yearly levy. In this area is a small quarter block nicknamed "Downtown Savary". In this area during the summer, you'll find The Savary Island General Store, Riggers Pub Restaurant, A Bike Rental, and one of our 3 fire halls plus short term parking. The only Church on the island is also located in Savary Shores. It is a charming small structure where weddings and memorials take place in addition to Sunday services.There are two easy beach accesses to the south shore via Patricia Crescent. One of the largest Arbutus trees in B.C. is located in this area although it is on private property. There are small clusters of this graceful tree in other areas of the island.
